Day 11 of 33 — three in the morning for the three days, three at night for the three nights.
Morning — A Clean Heart
Begin with the Breath of Life, then three movements to wake the body: two gentle ones from the Awakening Series (in bed, seated, or holding a chair) and one from the Deepening Series for those who are able. Use the modification you need.
The Breath of Life
Genesis 2:7 (NLT)
“Then the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.”
Every morning on this path begins the way human life began — with the breath of God. Before you move, breathe. Receive this day’s breath as His gift.
AWAKENING BREATH “First Breath of the Day”
MOVEMENT:
- Lie in bed or sit comfortably
- Place one hand on your chest, one on your belly
- Take a slow, deep breath in through your nose for 4 counts (feel your belly rise)
- Hold for 2 counts
- Exhale slowly through your mouth for 6 counts
- Repeat 10 times
MODIFICATIONS:
- Bed-Bound: As described
- Seated: Same movement while sitting
- Standing: Same movement while standing
- Breathing Difficulty: Use shorter counts (3-2-4)
Able to stand? Use the standing version instead:
DYNAMIC AWAKENING BREATH “Breath with Movement”
MOVEMENT:
- Stand with feet hip-width apart
- As you inhale (4 counts), raise both arms overhead
- Hold breath at top (2 counts), reaching tall
- As you exhale (6 counts), lower arms slowly to sides
- Repeat 15 times
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
SCRIPTURE:
“Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.” — Psalm 51:10 (NLT)
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
Exercise 1 of 3 — from the Awakening Series, Morning Exercise #32
1. FULL BODY STRETCH “Total Extension”
MOVEMENT:
- Lie on your back in bed (or stand if able)
- Extend your arms overhead
- Point your toes away from you
- Stretch your entire body as long as possible
- Hold for 10 seconds, breathing deeply
- Release and relax
- Repeat 5 times
MODIFICATIONS:
- Bed-Bound: As described
- Seated: Reach arms overhead and extend legs forward
- Standing: Reach arms overhead and rise on toes
- Limited Mobility: Stretch only as much as comfortable
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
MEDITATION:
Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Every morning is a fresh start. As you sat tall this morning and moved gently, your body found its alignment—head, shoulders, spine, settling into place. That is what God is doing in your spirit. He is creating a clean heart in you. He is renewing a loyal spirit—aligned, uncompromising, strong. Yesterday does not define you. As your body woke, He was renewing you from the inside out.

Exercise 2 of 3 — from the Deepening Series, Morning Exercise #12
2. TRICEP DIPS (CHAIR) “Upper Body Strength”
MOVEMENT:
- Sit on edge of sturdy chair
- Place hands on chair beside hips, fingers forward
- Slide hips off chair, supporting weight with arms
- Bend elbows, lowering body toward floor
- Push through palms to straighten arms
- Complete 10 repetitions, rest, repeat for 3 sets
MODIFICATIONS:
- Easier: Keep hips closer to chair, reduce depth
- Harder: Extend legs farther out, increase repetitions to 15
- Shoulder Pain: Very small range of motion
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
ENCOURAGEMENT:
God is renewing your spirit. Sit tall. Stay aligned. This morning, He is making your heart clean.

Exercise 3 of 3 — from the Awakening Series, Morning Exercise #4
3. SHOULDER BLADE SQUEEZES “Opening Your Back”
MOVEMENT:
- Lie on your back or sit upright
- Pull your shoulder blades together behind you (imagine squeezing a pencil between them)
- Hold for 5 seconds
- Release
- Repeat 15 times
MODIFICATIONS:
- Bed-Bound: As described
- Seated/Standing: Same movement
- Limited Mobility: Squeeze only gently
- Shoulder Pain: Very small range of motion
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
CLOSING PRAYER:
Father, thank You for this new morning. Your mercies are new again today. Go with me into every hour of it, and let my body and my life be a prayer to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Evening — Meditating Through the Night
Three movements to release the day and prepare for rest: one stretch from the Deepening Series for those who are able, then two gentle ones, ending in stillness. Use the modification you need.
SCRIPTURE:
“I lie awake thinking of you, meditating on you through the night.” — Psalm 63:6 (NLT)
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
Exercise 1 of 3 — from the Deepening Series, Evening Exercise #17
1. RECLINING PIGEON POSE “Deep Glute Stretch”
MOVEMENT:
- Lie on back with knees bent, feet flat
- Cross right ankle over left knee (figure-four)
- Thread right arm through legs, clasp hands behind left thigh
- Gently pull left thigh toward chest
- Feel deep stretch in right hip and glute
- Hold for 45 seconds
- Switch legs, hold for 45 seconds
- Repeat 2 times per leg
MODIFICATIONS:
- Easier: Do not pull thigh as close, use strap around thigh
- Harder: Pull thigh closer to chest
- Limited Flexibility: Keep thigh farther from chest
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
MEDITATION:
Some nights sleep does not come easily. David knew those nights too. But he turned the sleepless hours into something holy: I lie awake thinking of You. Tonight, as you released and stretched, you made room in your body for rest. If sleep comes quickly, receive it. If it does not, do not fight the dark. Fill it with Him. Think of His faithfulness today. Meditate on Him until rest comes.

- Limited Mobility: Do not pull leg far
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧

If sleep comes, rest. If it does not, think of Him. Either way, you are with God tonight.

✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧

Lord, thank You for carrying me through this day. I lay it down at Your feet — what went well and what did not. Watch over me as I sleep, and wake me ready to walk with You again. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Day 11 complete. Rest well. Tomorrow is Day 12.
