Day 26 of 33 — three in the morning for the three days, three at night for the three nights.
Morning — The LORD Fights for You
Begin with the Breath of Life, then three movements to wake the body: two gentle ones from the Awakening Series (in bed, seated, or holding a chair) and one from the Deepening Series for those who are able. Use the modification you need.
The Breath of Life
Genesis 2:7 (NLT)
“Then the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.”
Every morning on this path begins the way human life began — with the breath of God. Before you move, breathe. Receive this day’s breath as His gift.
AWAKENING BREATH “First Breath of the Day”
MOVEMENT:
- Lie in bed or sit comfortably
- Place one hand on your chest, one on your belly
- Take a slow, deep breath in through your nose for 4 counts (feel your belly rise)
- Hold for 2 counts
- Exhale slowly through your mouth for 6 counts
- Repeat 10 times
MODIFICATIONS:
- Bed-Bound: As described
- Seated: Same movement while sitting
- Standing: Same movement while standing
- Breathing Difficulty: Use shorter counts (3-2-4)
Able to stand? Use the standing version instead:
DYNAMIC AWAKENING BREATH “Breath with Movement”
MOVEMENT:
- Stand with feet hip-width apart
- As you inhale (4 counts), raise both arms overhead
- Hold breath at top (2 counts), reaching tall
- As you exhale (6 counts), lower arms slowly to sides
- Repeat 15 times

SCRIPTURE:
“The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” — Exodus 14:14 (NLT)
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
Exercise 1 of 3 — from the Awakening Series, Morning Exercise #12
1. CHEST EXPANSION “Opening to Breathe”
MOVEMENT:
- Lie on your back or sit upright
- Extend both arms out to the sides, palms up
- Take a deep breath and expand your chest
- Hold for 5 seconds
- Bring arms back to center as you exhale
- Repeat 10 times
MODIFICATIONS:
- Bed-Bound: As described
- Seated/Standing: Same movement
- Limited Mobility: Do not extend arms fully; just open chest
- Shoulder Pain: Keep arms lower
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
MEDITATION:
The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm. This morning you did not have to rage or strain. You breathed. You moved. You stayed calm. That is not weakness—that is spiritual warfare done God’s way. God fights your battles. Your part is to stand, to trust, to stay calm. As you moved gently this morning, you were practicing that calm. Whatever battles this day brings, you are not fighting alone. He goes to war for you.

Exercise 2 of 3 — from the Deepening Series, Morning Exercise #27
2. SINGLE-LEG DEADLIFTS “Balance and Hamstrings”
MOVEMENT:
- Stand on right leg, left leg slightly behind for balance
- Hinge forward at hips, extending left leg behind you
- Lower torso toward floor while raising left leg
- Keep back straight, forming straight line from head to left foot
- Return to standing
- Complete 10 repetitions per leg
- Rest, repeat for 2 sets per leg
MODIFICATIONS:
- Easier: Hold chair for balance, do not hinge as far forward
- Harder: Hold light weights, increase repetitions to 12 per leg
- Balance Issues: Keep toe of back leg touching ground
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
ENCOURAGEMENT:
The LORD fights for you. Stay calm. This is His battle. Rest in His strength.
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
Exercise 3 of 3 — from the Awakening Series, Morning Exercise #22
3. ANKLE CIRCLES “Joint Mobility”
MOVEMENT:
- Lie in bed or sit with legs extended
- Rotate your right ankle in a circle clockwise (10 circles)
- Reverse direction, rotating counterclockwise (10 circles)
- Repeat with left ankle
- Complete 2 sets per ankle
MODIFICATIONS:
- Bed-Bound: As described
- Seated: Same movement
- Standing: Hold chair for balance, lift one foot at a time
- Limited Mobility: Make very small circles
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
CLOSING PRAYER:
Father, thank You for this new morning. Your mercies are new again today. Go with me into every hour of it, and let my body and my life be a prayer to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Evening — I Wait Quietly
Three movements to release the day and prepare for rest: one stretch from the Deepening Series for those who are able, then two gentle ones, ending in stillness. Use the modification you need.
SCRIPTURE:
“I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him.” — Psalm 62:1 (NLT)
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
Exercise 1 of 3 — from the Deepening Series, Evening Exercise #30
1. CONSTRUCTIVE REST POSE “Complete Stillness”
MOVEMENT:
- Lie on back with knees bent, feet flat on floor
- Let knees lean gently together (supported)
- Rest arms at sides or on belly
- Close eyes if comfortable
- Simply lie still for 3-5 minutes
- Let body completely relax into floor
- Breathe naturally, no effort
MODIFICATIONS:
- Easier: Place pillow under knees for support
- Harder: Extend time to 10 minutes
- Emotional Difficulty: Keep eyes open if closing them feels unsafe
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
MEDITATION:
I wait quietly before God. Tonight’s movements ended in stillness for a reason. Quiet is not wasted time. It is where the soul learns to wait. You do not have to win tonight’s battles by worrying about them. Your victory comes from Him. So be still. Breathe. Let the quiet do its work. The One who fights for you does not need your help to win. He needs your trust.

Exercise 2 of 3 — from the Awakening Series, Evening Exercise #12
2. HAND-TO-HEART MEDITATION “Connecting to Your Center”
MOVEMENT:
- Lie in bed or sit comfortably
- Place right hand over your heart
- Place left hand on top of right
- Close your eyes if comfortable
- Feel your heartbeat for 1 minute
- With each beat, think: I am alive. I am held. I am safe.
MODIFICATIONS:
- Bed-Bound/Seated/Standing: Same movement
- Emotional Difficulty: Keep eyes open if closing them feels unsafe
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
ENCOURAGEMENT:
Wait quietly tonight. Your victory comes from Him, not from your worry.
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
Exercise 3 of 3 — from the Awakening Series, Morning Exercise #33
3. GRATITUDE BREATH “Ending with Thanksgiving”
MOVEMENT:
- Sit or lie in your most comfortable position
- Place both hands over your heart
- Close your eyes if comfortable
- Take a deep breath in through your nose for 4 counts
- Hold for 2 counts
- Exhale slowly through your mouth for 6 counts
- As you breathe, think of one thing you’re grateful for today
- Repeat for 5 full breath cycles
MODIFICATIONS:
- Bed-Bound/Seated/Standing: Same movement
- Breathing Difficulty: Use comfortable counts (3-2-4)
- Emotional Difficulty: If gratitude is hard, just acknowledge: I’m breathing. That’s enough.
✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧
CLOSING PRAYER:
Lord, thank You for carrying me through this day. I lay it down at Your feet — what went well and what did not. Watch over me as I sleep, and wake me ready to walk with You again. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Day 26 complete. Rest well. Tomorrow is Day 27.
